Today, Deer Valley is a 4,500-acre world-class ski resort, offering superior recreational amenities, residential neighborhoods, and mountain villages. In 2001/2002 and 2005/2006, Deer Valley achieved the top ranking in Ski Magazine&#8217;s Reader Resort Survey.  Deer Valley Resort was also a venue for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. 

The Resort&#8217;s continued success is a result of its initial design and planning strategies.  In the early 1980s, Jack Johnson Company created a master plan that served as a guideline for future improvements and focused on maintaining dignity through time with the flexibility to change.  The Deer Valley Master Plan was only one of the many projects Jack Johnson Company designed for the Resort.  Other projects at Deer Valley ranged from new lift alignments and ski area expansion to site specific planning for numerous parcels, hotels and condominiums. Attracting both summer and winter clientele, Jack Johnson Company designed an inn at the resort that would appeal to the customer year-round.  Located both slopeside and on the golf course, the Inn at Holiday Valley offers incredible accommodations for all seasons. Summer amenities include golf, tennis, plus an alpine slide and amusement park. In addition to planning and engineering services, Jack Johnson Company provided architectural design for the Inn at Holiday Valley and renovation to the Tannenbaum Lodge.

<projectText><![CDATA[<p><span class="projectText">The Country Inn at Jiminy Peak is a 105-unit condominium hotel in the midst of this New England ski resort located in the Berkshire Mountains.  The resort offers year-round recreational opportunities, including alpine and Nordic skiing in the winter, and tennis, swimming and an alpine slide in the summer.  

The Inn was designed to provide additional overnight accommodations for the resort, as well as second homes for regular visitors to the area. Jack Johnson and his design team provided full architectural design and construction document services, as well as site planning and civil engineering services for the project.</span></p>]]></projectText>

<projectText><![CDATA[<p><span class="projectText">Las Palmas de Punta Mita is a residential development within a recreational resort community located at the foot of the Sierra Madre range “where the ocean meets the bay.”  Punta Mita features an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course, Greg Norman course, Four Seasons Hotel and Residential Villas, spa and tennis, and equestrian facilities. Other major hotels are planned, as well.  

Las Palmas offers one-story twin homes, two-story townhomes and four-story stacked condominiums and villas, all with ocean, golf course and/or mountain views.  This residential component of Las Palmas at Punta Mita has been carefully integrated with the golf course and other amenities, as well. Jack Johnson Company has been involved in the project from inception, providing landscape architectural and planning design services.</span></p>]]></projectText>

Designed with traditional neighborhood principles, such as large front porches, walkable streets, classic architecture, and a variety of common open space, Mapleton Village seeks to become the premier destination for families in Utah County. 

Over 75% of the overall site at Mapleton Village will be preserved as usable open space including Crowd Canyon, Maple Mountain, plus acres of natural habitat, ponds, ball fields, common gardens, and miles of integrated trails. This open space will be complemented by formal gardens, a town green, playgrounds, and pocket parks scattered throughout the neighborhood. 

Mapleton Village offers a number of lot sizes, from 5,000 square feet in the village center to three acres in more rural settings, creating a true sense of community. <projectText><![CDATA[<p><span class="projectText">At present, this year-round mountain resort boasts 18 lifts situated on 500 acres.  There are on-site lodging facilities for nearly 5,000 visitors.  To better accommodate approximately 400,000 visitors a year, Jack Johnson Company is helping the resort with its skier tourism programming. 

A new skier base area facility, including a service building with a ski patrol and medical clinic, is currently being planned.  Circulation throughout the project will be key to its success.  Also in the planning stage are the residential communities of Stowe Village, Lake Tahoe Village and Pheasant Run, which will feature large single-family lots.</span></p>]]></projectText>

<projectText><![CDATA[<p><span class="projectText">This new model Chinese city for approximately 70,000 people includes a University, Technology Center, Amusement Park, Ski Resort, Golf Resort, Agricultural Lands, and a new village for workers. Surrounding an existing reservoir, the project seeks to preserve and enhance the existing agricultural lands while setting the stage for economic growth and long term sustainability. The project is centered around the proposed Seven Color Dreamland Resort that seeks to become the recreation capital for Shenyang and the surrounding areas. The resort will include a theme park, championship golf course, ski resort, executive golf course, a lakeside hotel, and supporting retail and recreation amenities. Connected via a proposed monorail system, the Resort will support the creation of several new economic and social improvements for the area. Foremost among these is the new model Village based on traditional development principles with updated inspirations from New Urban design. The village with house workers, farmers and families and includes orchards and common gardens interspersed through out the village. Phase II of the project calls for the design of a large University and Technology Center with supporting residential and commercial development. Throughout the project, sustainable practices are utilized to help make this a sustainable vision and model for future development in China.</span></p>]]></projectText>

Each neighborhood will have its own identity in a harmonious relationship to the whole development.  Tuhaye will comprise single-family homes with golf course frontage to achieve the highest lot values.  Innovative infrastructure solutions for sewer as well as roads and storm drainage will make the development feasible and cost effective.  The theme and character of Tuhaye is expressed in its entrance, giving the project a unique identity.  This entry, including landscaping and a gate house, contributes toward a higher overall value for all of the Tuhaye real estate, while establishing a greater sense of community.</span></p>]]></projectText>

<projectText><![CDATA[<p><span class="projectText">The essence of Victory Ranch development will be expressed through flavors of the rustic, relaxed ranch lifestyle incorporated and enhanced in the Victory Ranch community.  Victory Ranch includes 5,600 acres of land in Wasatch and Summit Counties.  Of this, 2,600 acres will comprise a nature preserve with wilderness cabins and miles of trails for hiking, horseback riding and other pursuits.  

The development has been designed in two phases, with the first phase consisting of four sub-phases A through D and having a total density of 405 units.  The master plan includes two 18-hole golf courses with a clubhouse and pro shop, access to fishing along five extraordinary miles of the Provo River, tennis courts, swimming pool, and equestrian center.</span></p>]]></projectText>
